Bus Times
Wentworth is served by two bus routes - the hourly 227 Rotherham-Barnsley service, and the infrequent 44 Lea Brook service. Use the following links to view the latest timetables for these.

Train Times
The nearest station to Wentworth is Elsecar (approx 1.5 miles) from where you can catch local trains to Sheffield, Barnsley, Leeds and Huddersfield. You can reach the station on the 227 bus or take a pleasant walk through the woods (take the footpath next to the sawmills). For train times we suggest you visit the Railtrack web site.
By Car
Despite its rural feel, Wentworth is readily accessible by car, being only 5 minutes from the M1 motorway (junctions 35/36). The village has its own car park which is run by the Parish Council. This is normally free, although in recent years the council has started to levy a small fee on busy days in order to pay the business rates demanded by Rotherham MBC.
