Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman

An informal election was held and the general view of the meeting was that last year's chairman and vice-chairman should continue in their roles - Nick Chaplin was duly elected as Chairman and Julian Daley as Vice Chairman (in his absence - to be confirmed as acceptable with JD).

Matters Arising

Julie Gill (JG) has volunteered to co-ordinate production of a new newsletter for the WVCA area of benefit and would welcome any WVCA or Parish Council assistance to support production costs or delivery.

Schedule of Meeting Dates

As not all committee members were present it was not possible to agree a full schedule of meeting dates, however it was agreed that it would be useful to hold a meeting on Wednesday 14th September, 2005 at 8pm to discuss any issues arising in advance of Village Day (see below).

Further meetings in late October (bonfire pre-planning) and early December (Christmas parties) were suggested, but no firm dates set.  The next AGM will be on Tuesday 18th July 2006 at 8pm.

Village Day

FT presented an outline budget for the various attractions planned for Village Day.  A field layout plan is to be produced by FT.

Race Night also planned for the evening of 17th September - £150 hire charge.  Prizes donated for each of 6 races.  Horses can be purchase in advance for £2 with prizes for winners.  Tickets for sale in advance £1 each.  40% of the money taken on the races goes  to us, 60% to winners.

“Wentworth Village Day” balloons are to be purchased to distribute at entrance in return for donations.   MG to produce ad and fliers for event.
